The Historic Camp Layman has new owners, Jeff and Keri Askew, a dedicated couple leading Camp Layman into its next chapter. Their commitment is rooted in a lifelong passion for the outdoors, a nearly 20-year marriage, and a shared vision for preserving the heritage of Camp Layman. The Askews’ decision to take on stewardship of Camp Layman was driven by a deep desire to pass on the joy of the outdoors. Their mission is simple: To honor the long and rich history of Camp Layman while continuing to evolve its offerings to meet the needs of future generations. The Askews are dedicated to bringing the same passion and joy they feel about outdoor recreation to every guest who visits. A family with two children and three grandsons, Jeff and Keri hope that Camp Layman will forever be a place that helps instill in their own family — and every family who visits the campground — the same deep, lasting connection to nature that they share.

Camp Layman offers a unique vacation experience in their rustic cabins nestled in the mountain pines of the Plumas National Forest. Just a short walk from swimming and fishing in the beautiful Feather River, these rustic cabins provide a quiet, relaxing break from the city.
