For decades, the Quincy Chamber of Commerce has proudly hosted their annual Safe Trick-or-Treat. Created in the 1980s to give children a safe, well-lit place to collect candy — no walking through dark neighborhoods after nightfall — the event has become a staple of the local community’s Halloween.

Every Halloween afternoon, merchants throughout downtown Quincy and East Quincy open their doors to hand out candy to local kids. To keep everyone safe and “spooktacular,” their dedicated volunteers suit up as crossing guards at key intersections, helping kids and families cross the streets. This year’s event happens on Friday, October 30. There are also ways to take part of the event for FREE or as a monetary sponsor. For more information, please visit this link.
