This year’s Christmas in Old Town Event happens in Portola on Friday, December 5th from 4:00 until 8:00 pm at the Caboose parking lot on Commercial Street in Portola. The festivities will include a “sparkling holiday parade” through Old Town, the popular Golden Ticket give-away for kids ages three to 16, a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus from 4 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the Old Town Marketplace, the city Christmas tree lighting, food, drinks, and much more fun for the whole family. The Christmas parade will commence at 5:30 p.m. on Commercial Street with the Christmas Tree lighting starting at 6:00 pm.
