2025

The 2025 Historic Longboard Revival Race Series returns this year with three fast-paced racing series happening Sunday, January 19, weather permitting. Registration for the event runs from 10 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., with the drawing of numbers occurring at 11:45 a.m. Racing will begin at high noon. The beloved event features 1860’s style, nine to 16-foot wooden skis, participants should dress in historic attire with leather boots, and authentic “dope” wax only. Prizes will be awarded. Entry fees for the event include a required Plumas Ski Club membership at $20, a $20 race fee for card carrying ski club members using private longboards skis and a $20 fee to use club longboards. For more information about the Longboard Revival Race Series, visit plumasskiclub.org. Future races are slated to take place on February 16 and March 16.

So sorry to have to report that the Longboard Races for February 16 have been canceled due to lack of snow. Even with the upcoming storm there won't be enough to run a race. Hoping they can put on the final race of the season next month on March 16.

Location:

Johnsville Historic Ski Bowl
