Eastern Plumas Health Care is celebrating the award of three shelter systems thanks to the Test and Treat Equity grant from the California Department of Public Health.
For this occasion, the public is invited to attend the ribbon cutting event held during EPHC’s onsite deployment training on Wednesday, October 30th at 10:00 am at 500 1st Avenue, Portola, Ca. Tours and refreshments will be provided for this event.
The significance of this award is substantial because the portable structures are multipurpose: functioning for disaster response, and health emergencies. These central command centers will serve Plumas and Sierra Counties should a controlled environment be needed outside or in addition to the medical facilities.
Mark your calendar and plan to join the celebration. For more information about the ribbon cutting event or the shelters, contact EPHC Program Manager, Joanna Garneau at 530-832-6632.
