Plumas District Hospital, in Quincy, broke ground on their New Skilled Nursing Facility, Thursday, August 31. The groundbreaking ceremonies included speeches from JoDee Read, CEO, former CEO, Jeffrey Kepple, MD, Marcia Gallegos Herrera, USDA State Director, and Board President, Bill Wickman, who also led the “Turning of the Dirt Ceremony.” The project has been “a collective effort,” says CEO JoDee Read, made possible by “the unwavering support of the community and our dedicated partners.” The project, when completed, will be crucial in meeting the needs of long-term care for the community of Quincy, and surrounding areas.
