1997 Mohawk Valley Independence Day Celebration, SILVER JUBILEE
Events Schedule  Parade Entries  Photos & Fun

This July 4th marks the 25th year for the Mohawk Valley Independence Day Celebration. And it is scheduled to be the best ever. The small town, country charm of Graeagle and neighboring Blairsden, California will celebrate the event with food, music, and good old fashioned hospitality.

The Cardoza's Longtime Graeagle residents, Julie & Inez Cardoza will be the 1997 Grand Marshals. Even though the Cardoza's moved to Graeagle in 1977 planning to retire, they have been quite active in the community for twenty years, giving hundreds of hours of service to the community each year. Graeagle and Mohawk Valley is proud to honor them as this years' Grand Marshals.

According to Don Clark, Celebration Chairman, the 1997 Event will feature more music than ever before. The Ophir Prison Marching Kazoo Band, the Just Friends Jazz Combo, and the River Country Band are just some of the groups that will be performing during the weekend event.

"It's going to be an enjoyable, local hometown theme this year," said Clark. "More people are involved to help make this years celebration unforgettable."

If you've never experienced the Mohawk Independence Day Celebration before, this year would be the time to attend.
