Welcome to the Mohawk Community Resource Center. The MCRC is a facility for the Graeagle community directed by Plumas Rural Services, Inc. The mission of the community based non-profit MCRC is to improve quality of life by promoting the health, education, and well-being of local residents and families.

Some of the services offered by the MCRC include:

  • Senior Connections Services (household chores, shopping, errands, transportation, nursing resources, paperwork, emergency services, and consumer advocacy).
  • Meals For Seniors Program (every Wednesday EPHC brings food for seniors. Call 24 hours in advance to sign up).
  • Bridge Classes (for all ages to learn beginning bridge techniques. Call office to sign up).
  • Pilates and Low-Impact Exercise Classes
    (offered twice weekly please call for more information)
  • Computer Classes (beginning and intermediate computer classes. Digital camera class).
  • Building Rental (seminars, meetings, etc. Call office for more information).

Advance Ticket Sales for Tea In The High Sierra
April 13
Tickets go on sale for the 3rd Annual "Tea in the High Sierra" to be held at the Mohawk Community Resource Center, Blairsden on May 3rd.  It is important to get your tickets now by calling 836-0446 or stop by the Center at the corner of Hwy 89 and 70.  Tickets will be sold to individuals or entire tables. 

Tea in the High Sierra

This year’s theme is “Tea Around the World.”  Each table will represent a different country – come pick your getaway destination. Tickets are $20 and are a "hot item.” Grab your fancy hat (there is a prize for the best hat) and get ready to sample the best treats and wonderous tea’s in the area. Tickets can be sold to individuals or entire tables. Taste of Mohawk
June 20   1-4 PM 
The Park in downtown Graeagle is the location for the Fundraiser for the Mohawk Community Resource Center -- a service of Plumas Rural Services -- in Blairsden, corner of Hwy.70 and 80.  Tickets are limited, adult tickets will be $20.00 and $10.00 for children under 12, you can eat your way around the Park sampling the best of the local restaurant's fare.  Tickets will be available in May at The Mill Works, Graeagle Outpost and the Mohawk Community Resource Center. 

Parking Lot Sale
August 15  9-3, set up 7-9AM

Resource Center Celebration
August 22    2-4 PM 
The Mohawk Community Resource Center is now six years old and we are throwing a party.  Come join your neighbors, family and friends to mark the establishing of this important community resource.
