Sara Sheridan - Principal of Portola High School
I spent most of my childhood in the Sierra Valley, living in Calpine and attending Sierraville Elementay and Loyalton schools. After graduating from Loyalton High School in 1996, I attended Chico State and Feather River College before settling in at the University of Nevada, Reno where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Education and teaching credential. I was very fortunate to begin my teaching career at Portola High School in the Fall of 2004. After teaching a variety of subjects, I moved into the vice principal role in 2009. Three years later, in 2012, I made the jump into the principal position and am thrilled to now be moving into my 14th year at PHS.
I live in Clio with my husband Dan, who I have been married to for 21 years. We have four children - Erin - 20, Emily - 16, Mary - 14, and Connor - 10.
