MARSHALL
Don and Nancy Clark
Don and Nancy have been full time Graeagle residents since
1990. Don was born and raised in Nevada, first coming to
Graeagle in the 1950s to vacation with his family. Nancy
is a native Californian, born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. In
1994 Don and Nancy purchased the Graeagle Gift Shop and
operated it until 2002. In 1996 Don was appointed to County
Supervisor and won reelection in 1998. In 2002 they decided
to "re-retire",
Don completed his term in office and they sold the shop.
Since moving to Graeagle both have been active volunteers
in the schools and community. Don is past president of
the Purple Pride Boosters Club and has served as chairman
of the Mohawk Valley Independence Day Committee for the
past fifteen years. Since 2003 he has served on the Graeagle
Fire Protection District Board of Directors. He is an avid
golfer and has been active in both the Plumas Pines and
Graeagle Meadows Mens Clubs. Don won both club championships
in 1995.
Nancy
volunteered in the schools when first moving to Graeagle
and is past president of the School Site Committee. She also
held various offices, including president, of the Plumas
County Republican Women, Federated. As a cancer survivor,
Nancy's passion for the last ten years has been volunteering
for the American Cancer Society. She has been a team captain,
committee chairperson and event chairperson for the Plumas
County Relay For Life. She is also a Legislative Ambassador
for the American Cancer Society and has traveled to Sacramento
and Washington D.C. to meet with legislators regarding cancer
and health issues and funding.
Don and Nancy are greatful
to live in an area as beautiful as Plumas County and are
happy to be able to give back to their community through
their volunteer efforts. |

SPONSORS
Our sincere thanks to all who help sponsor
this event through your generous donations. Without your
support these Independence Day events would not be possible.
Fund raising, it seems, is the most challenging aspect of
any organized event. It is very gratifying when so
many community members, organizations, businesses, property
owners, and individuals demonstrate their unified support. It
shows you care about the quality of life and the future of
your community.
If you haven't donated to this year's event,
please use the following DONATION FORMS below to make a contribution.
We wish also to thank those of you who support
the MVID events through participation in the various fund-raising
events.
As we had to go to
press, we were unable to list donations received after June
22, 2009 |

fireworks display, and the Green for the Park Festivities.
Special recognition also
goes to Ricky & Candy
Ross of Intermountain Disposal for their yearly
contribution to the overall success of our festivities
