Bryce
Caswell
|
My
name is Bryce Caswell. I was born in Humble, Texas and grew
up in Houston. I have lived in New Mexico, Colorado, and now I call
Portola home. I feel truly honored to have received the Elks
Most Valuable Student Scholarship. I have been very lucky in
that I have known what I wanted in life from an early age so I've
had years to pursue my dreams of going to Harvard and being a politician.
While in Portola I have volunteered at places like Healthy Start,
the Literacy Program, Horses Unlimited, the Hospital, etc. At Portola
High School I played soccer, was on the Academic Decathlon team,
became ASB President, helped found the Key Club, and was a co-chair
on the "Pennies for Polio Drive" that the school ran this
year to raise money to help Rotary reach their goal of eradicating
Polio worldwide. I have also worked doing the Rotary Highway Clean-up
and the Elks Hangover breakfast. What I can't stress enough is how
honored I am to be here today and to be who I am. I am truly a product
of a community and people who care and are willing to reach out
and be a support system. I will miss this community greatly.
Mohawk
Valley is honored to have Bryce as GRAND MARSHALL and THANK YOU.

THANK
YOU TO ALL OUR SPONSORS OF THE
MOHAWK
VALLEY INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION,
Our
sincere thanks to all who help sponsor this event through your generous
donations. Without your support these Independence Day events would
not be possible.
Fund
raising, it seems, is the most challenging aspect of any organized
event. It is very gratifying when so many community members, organizations,
businesses, property owners, and individuals demonstrate their unified
support. It shows you care about the quality of life and the future
of your community.
We
wish also to thank those of you who support the MVID events through
participation in the various fund-raising events.
