Support a special fundraising dinner to help restore the Western Pacific’s Steam Engine 165 by joining the Feather River Rail Society on Saturday, May 12th for an evening of special presentations, live auctions, and guided museum tours at the Western Pacific Railroad Museum.

Speakers will include Steve Lee, former head of the Union Pacific Steam Locomotive / Heritage Program and Doyle McCormack, President of the Oregon Rail Heritage Foundation, and lead on restoration and operation of SP “Daylight” 4449 steam locomotive since its resurrection for the American Freedom Train.

Dinner will be provided by Longboards Bar & Grill, and tickets are $100 per person. Seating is limited, so get your tickets here before the event is sold out.

Proceeds of this event will go to restore the WP 165 Steam Engine, and once completed, the 165 will be the only operating steam locomotive from the Western Pacific Railroad. It will be used in special operations at the Western Pacific Railroad Museum, pulling the museum’s caboose train and demonstrating the technology of steam locomotives.

So please help restore this rare piece of transportation history and buy your tickets today. For more information about the WP 165 Steam Engine or the Western Pacific Railroad Museum visit the website at  www.wplives.org or call 530-836-4131.
